FIGHTING THE INNER OPPONENT

After 17 years of training, sparring and competing with some talented opponents I have found that the Inner Opponent is the deciding factor in how well you perform. Dealing with those doubts in your mind of "maybe he is better" or "he has had 50 fights" etc does not help in the slightess. At the end of the day it comes down to expectations coupled with the urge to prove something, whether it be to oneself or others. After coming to the conclusion it is not about winning or losing but more about the journey and not the destination, my game went through the roof. Once changing your mindset to focus on not having to prove anything and just PLAYING "NOT" COMPETING, you will not only improve your game but it will be so much more enjoyable. The CrazyMonkeyDefense Program always looks to stress this to all clients because not only is it a healthier attitude but once learnt it will open a variety of things to you, in and out of the gym, that you thought maybe otherwise be impossible.

Client testimonials

"Working in law enforcement puts me in many    hostile situations, coming from kickboxing        background made me feel capable of handling    most situations I came across, but since            training CMD with James I have found that it       is only NOW by incorporating the skills I have    learnt through CMD into my workplace that I       am truly capable of handling situations I face    day to day"

"I work in the Security industry. Training            with James in Crazy Monkey has improved        the confidence with which i approach patrons    & in my ablility to help my co-workers if i think    things are going bad. And whilst I've certainly    developed skills physically- it's also helped        me to focus mentally. When i first started           training in Crazy Monkey i felt very                    unco-ordinated, like learning to walk & now       my feet feel secure below me. James was        really supportive & guided me through- I              know if you work hard enough at it, then            anything is possible"
